Getty Images launch Ultimate Pitch competition to win a trip to Cannes

Getty Images have launched the 'Ultimate Pitch competition' (www.gettyimages.com/ultimate).

The global creative community is being offered the chance to win a luxurious Cannes trip (http://www.gettyimagesultimate.com/usa/theprize.aspx) by responding to a creative brief and creating ‘ideas that could make a world of difference.’

The Ultimate Pitch competition is open to the entire worldwide creative community, allows entrants to use a range of Getty assets (video / image / audio) and the winners get to go to Cannes and see their work showcased at the festival and via Getty Images.

Also interesting to see how the 'Ultimate Pitch competition' is being promoted, relying heavily on viral marketing and blogger outreach / social media strategy. There is even a ‘Welcome to Cannes’ spoof film that shows residents of Cannes preparing for the arrival of the advertising community.
