Blog Action Day - Professor Hans Rosling from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden gives the best presentation I have seen!

I was lucky enough to go to Google's Zeitgeist Europe event in 2007. Professor Hans Rosling from Sweden's Karolinska Institutet gave a fantastic presentation, using Gapminder presentation software to shed light on perceived and real differences in the way we live around the world.

Professor Rosling's presentation starts 3mins 37 secs into this video. He starts by proving that his students know statistically less than a chimpanzee, moves into amazing horse racing style commentary over moving graphics that represent world development over the last 50 years and finishes with some thoughts about how freeing up statistical data is a key part of helping global development.

Spend 15 minutes watching this and I guarantee Professor Rosling will change your perception of the world...........
