Yooouuutuuube video wall - with the Michael Winner mash up

Yooouuutuuube is a new, if slightly pointless, interface for viewing YouTube videos.

Users are able to specify a YouTube video to watch (either by entering a link or selecting a 'random choice.') The video is then shown on a multi-screen wall with frames progressing across the screen.

Here's how it looks on one of the original YouTube ad mashups - the Michael Winner 'Calm Down Dear' remix.

Whilst Yooouuutuuube in itself doesn't seem to serve any particularly useful purpose, it is a good example of the remix culture of the new web. Given the opportunity people will re-interpret and remix content and Yooouuutuuube is more proof that the evolution of platforms / tools can come from outside as well as within - if you let them build, they will!

Hat tip Digital Examples and Rick Lamb who have other Yooouuutuuube interpretations on their blogs.
