Twitter Magnets - building on the Twitter API

One of the appeals of Twitter is the ease with which things can be built on top of the Twitter API - and it is not just status update tools and buzz monitoring applications that are being built.

Twitter Magnets is 'the world's first fridge magnet / Twitter mash-up', allowing users to update Twitter (and dedicate the tweet) using a fridge magnet type application. Users can play with the interface, dragging and dropping virtual fridge magnets to create a tweet - either to their own account or to the generic Twitter Magnets Twitter handle.

We have recently seen the Twitter poster poetry competition and Twitter Magnets is another great example of the creativity that can be developed on top of the Twitter platform - I'm sure this is a sign of things to come!
