Nokia 800 Lumia DeadMau5 Millbank Tower projection event in central London [videos]

Millbank Tower was the site of the big Nokia 800 Lumia event in central London tonight. Nokia projected onto the tower, while DeadMau5 played a special outdoor set to celebrate the new Nokia 800 Lumia Windows phone.

The Nokia DeadMau5 event was witnessed by crowds at Millbank Tower and on the Albert Embankment on the south bank of the Thames – with some even lucky enough to witness the DeadMau5 show from boats on the Thames.

The Nokia DeadMau5 event was also live streamed through Nokia Pages on Facebook. I took various videos from Albert Embankment on the South Bank of the Thames looking onto Millbank Tower and the Nokia DeadMau5 performance:

NB any voices heard on these films are from the crowd and not from myself or anyone with me.

Giant Lego Christmas Tree at St Pancras station, London [videos + photos]

This year the Christmas tree at St. Pancras train station is a bit different - it's made out of Lego!

The giant Lego Christmas tree is located in the main arcade area of St Pancras station and measures 12 metres / 38 feet in height.  The giant Lego Christmas tree at St. Pancras station is made with 600,000 Lego bricks, 172 Lego branches and around 1200 Lego baubles.  The giant Lego tree also has a QR code decoration that links to the website of the builders, Bright Bricks.

I also made a couple of videos of the giant Lego Christmas tree when visiting it today:

Very impressive and a great way of bringing the product to life in a very public, high traffic area!

Social Media Behaviour [presentation] - my slides from WMG Digital conference

I was recently asked to make a short presentation at the WMG Digital conference in London on 'Social Behaviour.'

My presentation deck gives an overview of some of the things currently happening on the web that I think are interesting.  The opening slides are based around Earned Media advocacy / customer service.  The deck then moves to discuss the mechanics and motivations of sharing and finishes with illustrations of how people follow other people and how critical mass is now the critical component in generating Earned Media spread.  Everything is then wrapped up with the latest version of my Paid Owned Earned graphic.

For those who were at the event, thank you for your attention and questions, I hope you found this useful!

Domino's Pizza Hero iPad application - pizza gamification!

The new Domino's Pizza Hero iPad application allows app users to create their own pizza - and score points while they do it!

Domino's Pizza Hero iPad application
The Domino's Pizza Hero app allows iPad users to: "rise through the pizza making ranks and become a Pizza Hero" by making "top quality pizzas by kneading dough, spreading sauce, sprinkling cheese, placing toppings and more as you race against the clock." Users can compete against other pizza makers on the Game Center Leaderboards, as well as share achievements, scores and pizza maker profiles on Facebook and Twitter.

Pizza Hero app users can even make a pizza and order it from Domino's!

Innocent Tweet and Eat Veg Pots collaborative couponing #tweetandeat

Innocent are running a collaborative couponing campaign for their veg pots. Under the title 'Tweet & Eat' the Innocent veg pots campaign is based around the idea that 'the more people who tweet, the cheaper you eat.'  Coupon discount levels will increase over time from 50p off to completely Free.
Innocent Tweet & Eat Veg Pots collaborative couponing
The Innocent Tweet and Eat promotion page states:

"Collective buying power is where it's at. So get your friends, workmates and that bloke sat next to you on the bus tweeting now to push up the Tweet-O-Meter and get more discount.

After you've tweeted to your hearts content don't forget to request a Direct Message, this lets us give you a shout when the next coupon level is reached - you don't want to miss out.

Can't wait any longer? Don't feel like tweeting? Simply print the current coupon and get yourself down the shops quick sharp."

The Innocent Veg Pots tweet and eat campaign is in a similar vein to the Uniqlo Lucky Counter initiative that ran in September 2010:

Clever stuff - the question though is whether this is another example of the collaborative consumption trend that Rachel Botsman writes about at collaborativeconsumption.com or just another coupon / sales gimmick?
